In December 2003 Harald Schmidt announced the ending of the show (although he called it a "creative pause"). This was very surprising because he said several times before that he wanted to do the show for as long as possible. It is still not clear why he cancelled the show, although rumors are that he disliked the new Sat1 Chief. See more »
Between 1995 and 2000 the Schmidt Show was just great. But now it becomes more and more boring. Well, I guess that's "art". Maybe his writers run out of jokes. Only the first 5 minutes are really funny. The rest of the show you see Schmidt talking with Andrack about some stuff. Then some starlets nobody knows walk in and talk about some stuff.
