In each episode the advise team has to solve approx. 8 questions, which the TV watchers at home can send in. If they haven't succeeded within a given time (with each individual question), the watcher who sent this question wins 500 Euros.

In December 2003 Harald Schmidt announced the ending of the show (although he called it a "creative pause"). This was very surprising because he said several times before that he wanted to do the show for as long as possible. Between 1995 and 2000 the Schmidt Show was just great. But now it becomes more and more boring. Well, I guess that's "art". Maybe his writers run out of jokes. Only the first 5 minutes are really funny. The rest of the show you see Schmidt talking with Andrack about some stuff. Then some starlets nobody knows walk in and talk about some stuff.
