Fun Stuff

Trivia:
The aircraft used in the movie is a Lockheed L-1011-385-1 TriStar (N31018) belonging to the now defunct Trans World Airlines. more
Goofs:
Factual errors: When the captain is taking off from Bangor, the indicator reads "Minimum takeoff speed 150 mph". This is wrong in two ways. First, in aviation, all speeds are in knots. Second, there is not only one takeoff speed, there are three: engine out safety speed (V1), speed of rotation (Vr) and climb safety speed (V2). more
Quotes:
Roger Toomy: Are you gonna look at the big picture or do I have to let *them* have you?
[Turns Craigs head toward the window]
Craig Toomy: They don't even exist!
Roger Toomy: Oh yes. They exist. They were here and they'll be back.
[Grabs Craig by the ear and pulls him up]
Roger Toomy: They'll be back for you, you lazy sack of dirt!
Craig Toomy: What can I do? What can I do?
Roger Toomy: [Mimics him cruelly] "What can I do?" "What can I do?" You do whatever you have to do, and you get to Boston! Because if you don't, Craiggy Weggy, they are gonna chew your eyes right out of your head!

A very entertaining film, 9 July 2003
10/10
Author: Mick Johnston from Isle of Wight, England

I have seen this film several times and still enjoy watching it. The

first viewing is obviously the best as the mystery of what happened to the plane is still unknown to you. The way the passengers

onboard the plane cope with the situation makes (for me)

fascinating viewing. My one small critical comment would be that the film is fairly long, however despite this I would still regard it as probably my favourite film.

Was the above comment useful to you?
