Storyline

A sketch show that had the effect that you were channel surfing, with each sketch being a spoof programme on different fake channels. Regular items included Colin Corleone - a man who thought he was The Godfather, a 1950's serial 'Betty's Mad Dash', an American talk show, movie paradies, plus the eponymic Glam Metal Detectives who would fight crime and play sell-out concerts every week. You'd dip in and out of these and other sketches as if you were hopping around different TV channels. Written by Bluejam

Fun show, would like to see DVD
20 June 2003 | by (Sedona, Arizona) – See all my reviews

This was a very short-lived BBC TV show that ran back in 1995 on BBC2. It was actually very good, a nice little slice of britcom. I wish there would be a DVD or VHS release so I could see it again. There were 6 episodes if I remember correctly, and Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders was in one of the episodes. Very bizarre but great!
