Great Adaption of the Popular Judy Blume Books!
26 August 2002 | by (U.S.A) – See all my reviews

Fans of the Fudge books by Judy Blume will love this show. Some episodes were based on the books, others were original. Like the one where Sheila babysits Fudge and he get's his head stuck under the sink, or the one where Peter and Fudge accidentally break an antique table and try to figure out how to cover it up. Or even the one where they try to think of what to get their parents for their anniversary. Fudge buys them an ice cream maker he bought with money he earned charging people to ride the elevator. The classic characters were all here: The Hatchers: Warren, Anne, Peter and Fudge. Friends Jimmy Fargo and Sheila Tubman, even the bumbling elevator operator, Henry. They'd get into all sorts of trouble. One of my favorites is the one where Fudge's stuffed monkey breaks apart in the dryer so Peter gives him his stuffed duck to cope with his loss. So this was a good show. It's not around anymore, but it was quite outrageous when it was here. And that is Eve "Jan Brady" Plumb as Anne Hatcher!
