I have a strong love for this show. I was sad to see how short-lived it was, and how most people didn't pick up on the shows sly humor. Jack Gallagher, mostly known as a comedian and for his TV work in California, was just hilarious as a single sports caster on the radio who falls for a woman, then marries her. of course, the woman has some kids, and Jack finds complications with them. Some of the jokes (the boxer challenging Jack to a fight then dying) fall flat because of predictability, but mostly the show remains fresh and funny. I am shocked to see that the DVD set is not out but maybe it is, I don't know. I could always rely on this show to make me laugh after a long day of work, so I would usually tape them, and the tape has since gone bad. Harley Jane Kozak was very good in this show, and i believe it was a great career decision.
Rent this on DVD if you can find it.
