Storyline

Kim is struggling to balance the competing pressures of her work life and her personal life. At the office, she has just been promoted to the position of executive producer of the hit police drama, "Blue Justice", and must handle the fragile egoes of the actors while also dealing with the all-male writing staff working under her. On the other side, she has fallen in love with a hard-driven district attourney who rarely has time to see her. Somehow, she must work out both sides of this equation. Great Date Series
14 August 2002 | by (nyc, ny) – See all my reviews

Just like there are good date flicks, this was the perfect series to sit down with your significant other and enjoy a half hour of nice down time.

I've always adored Nancy Travis and have been somewhat mystified why she hasn't enjoyed more success. Perhaps she's content with saving some semblance of privacy in her life. Her pairing with Kevin Kilner was just right. His masculine rough edges matched perfectly with her cute, girly ways. And the remaining cast had the right amount of oddballs and quirky personalities to make any sitcom envious.

I guess this sitcom wasn't as over the top as some other sitcoms and didn't distinguish itself from Mad About You. That's unfortunate because I think it should have been given more time to hit its mark.
