Good Educational Show That's Hard To Find
jeremycrimsonfox18 June 2019
A.J.'s Time Travelers is a good show that mixes entertainment and education to teach kids history. In this, 14-year-old A.J. Malloy is made commander of the Kyros after getting a strange CD from a neighbor. He and the crew, which are a wacky crew (with a captain inspired by Star Trek, but a janitor who is a dogman that could be inspired by Barf from Spaceballs), they have to keep the evil Warp from winning the Kyros by going back in time and learning about the subject of the episode to answer his questions.

And as the title said, this series is hard to find. While this premiered on Fox Kids back in 1994, but only the first four episodes aired before the network dropped the show, and in 1995, the show became the subject of a lawsuit against the creators and Bohbot Media, who aired the rest of the show as part of its Amazin' Adventures syndication block, which they lost. As a result, there is no official home video release, and there may never be one to avoid any more legal trouble.

But seeing this, it is a good educational show. The characters are funny and the show had some effort put into it. They even make sure to use actual facts for the historical figures that would be used as the subject of each episode. If you want to see the series, it is hard to find. There in one YouTube account that has posted all but the first six episodes (with foreign subtitles) and there are many versions of the first episode, one where they cut out the opening real world segment, and another being the Fox Kids broadcast, which keeps the commercials.
