Trivia:

Originally, the writers wanted Arnold Schwarzenegger's character during the horse chase sequence to chase after the suspect through the reflecting pool at the Washington Monument. The National Parks Service refused to allow that to happen.

Goofs:

Revealing mistakes: When Harry is being chased from the mansion, he is attacked by two Dobermans. The Dobermans jump at him and get 'coconut crunched' together. The dogs used at that point were rubber. One of the rubber dogs' eyes pops out and can be seen flying off the right side of the screen when using frame-by-frame advance, as well when they fall to the ground they bend and crease like rubber (they also bounce).

Great fun - don't expect anything else

Why should one watch this film? It's stupid, without any character developments and is about as believable as any James Bond movie. I'll tell you: It's great fun. When I watch a movie, I try not to confuse art with entertainment, as some commenters clearly have done. True Lies doesn't have a hint of art - but its comic-style spirit and adventurous action is compelling. And please don't be childish - admit you like seeing nukes go off on screen. This film isn't a Great Film. But it is Great Fun.
