Storyline

Cop partners Allen and Johnny receive a call about a robbery in progress at an art gallery where the ancient 'Sword of Honor' is being kept. They arrive in time to interrupt the theft, but in the ensuing gunfight, Allen (due to retire that same day) is killed. Vowing revenge, his partner Johnny begins his mission to hunt down the man responsible for his partner's death and bring back the stolen sword.

Useless junk disguised as an action film

The action genre,especially in its low budget category,often offers some of the worst films ever made,and "Sword of Honor" is a suitable example of this fact.A martial arts production,it relies on an over used plot,hopping to deliver at least some nice fighting,but fails under every aspect.A cop is killed in his last day in the line of duty and it is his partner's job to avenge his death and to stop a bunch of dangerous mobsters from stealing a precious sword.Of course,the bad story can be forgiven when are some really nice action scenes that can take you breath.Well.it is not the case here.I think both Tsuyoshi Abe(the main character) and Sophia Crawford(the sister of the dead cop) have some skills,but the direction and editing are atrocious and the result are some of the most boring fights ever put on film.The acting is poor,but,again,that could have been forgotten if the action was good.Unfortunately,it isn't so I can't give this movie more then a 4/10.
