This movie was filmed in Jacksonville, Florida, where I use to live. Knowing that town like I do and how the movie was done they couldn't have chosen a more perfect setting.
What I loved most about the movie was how "rich" Freddie Egan learned that there is more to life than money and status and the "hooligan" Freddie Egan learned how to be a descent young gentleman and how to do the right thing. Richard Moll, as Jimmy the cook was one of my favorite characters, just as delightful in this movie as was in the TV series Night Court. Epping Forrest Country Club was the perfect choice for the rich kids camp. The bus used for the delinquent kids in this movie is still being used today.
