City Slickers Director Ron Underwood to Film Skiing Comedy Woodchucks

13 March 2011 9:25 AM, PDT | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

City Slickers director Ron Underwood is set to direct a new ski comedy called Woodchucks.

The script was written by Len Britton (Precious Find) and Rick Parks (Ever After).

Len Britton is a former professional ski coach. He was, even more, 2009 running for U.S. Senate as a Republican and told that understood problems Vermonters face. And Sam Cooke’s classic civil-rights anthem “A Change Is Gonna Come” underwent radical »

Will Lady Gaga debut 'Born This Way' on Grammys?

3 January 2011 4:10 PM, PST | Gold Derby | See recent Gold Derby news »

Lady Gaga announced via Twiitter that her new single "Born This Way" will drop on Feb. 13 while the album of the same name is due out on May 23. That Sunday in February just happens to be the date of the Grammy Awards where Lady Gaga is contending in six races, including the coveted Album of the Year prize for "The Fame Monster."  Last year, Lady Gaga won just two of her six bids -- best electronic/dance album ("The Fame") and best dance recording ("Poker Face") -- and lost in the general field for album, record and song of the year. She was denied a chance to contend for best new artist because she had received a nomination in 2009 for best dance recording ("Just Dance"). Lady Gaga opened last year's Grammys with an electrifying six-minute set that saw her sing "Poker Face" before duetting with Elton John on her hit »
