Own the rights?
I think it's quite a shame that this movie was made... but that's television and society for ya. This was nothing more than tabloid trash, just about equal to those rags sold at the grocery store and also about as bad as any of those entertainment news shows such as Extra! that pry into celebrities' lives. Why should anything in this movie be believed? I'm not saying Roseanne hasn't had hard times but if something is called an `unauthorized biography' in no way should it be believed word for word and in this case frame by frame. Anyone who thinks this movie is A+ `10' material needs to see a shrink! I should see a shrink myself for watching this!! Here's an offer - 100 million dollars to the first person who can transport me back in time so I can decide NOT to watch this and have those 90 minutes back!!! Why was this made?!?! Biopics should never be made when the person is still in the public eye as Roseanne is... she doesn't have a new series on every week right now but `Roseanne' is on 7 days a week in syndication. There was also no need for this to be made because celebrities' lives don't need to be looked at under a magnifying glass. Not at all. Grade for this junk that's not worth seeing: D- and I do believe I'm being generous for some reason which I do not even know (it's probably truly worth a big fat F.)
