BAFTA ratings down on last year for BBC One, Call the Midwife still top

The 2014 BAFTA Film Awards ceremony was down by around 800,000 viewers from last year, according to overnight data.

Stephen Fry's hosting of the annual event attracted 4.56 million (22.1%) at 9pm on BBC One, down from last year's 5.38m.

Call the Midwife remained top on Sunday night, but dipped by around 300k to 8.43m (30.9%) at 8pm. Earlier, Countryfile appealed to 6.25m (26.5%) at 7pm.

BBC Two's Winter Olympics coverage scored 2.32m (9.8%) at 7pm, while Alan Davies's Apres-Ski took in 789k (4.1%) at 10pm.

Top Gear climbed by 80k from last week to 5.58m (20.6%) at 8pm, followed by Dragons' Den with 2.71m (11.6%) at 9pm.

ITV's Dancing on Ice continued with 4.71m (20.1%) at 6.15pm (254k/1.0% on +1), while its results show was seen by 4.25m (15.2%) at 8.30pm (233k/1.0%).

All-Star Family Fortunes entertained 4.06m (15.6%) at 7.45pm (180k/0.7%). Mr Selfridge attracted 4.59m (19.3%) at 9pm (242k/1.3%).
