Storyline

Arbitrageur Constantine "Connie" Harper is sentenced to a maximum security prison for fraud and decking the DA at his trial. Upon his release, one of his cellmates asks him to bodyguard his sister Rosie, who is being threatened by a diamond broker over some diamonds. Connie becomes a reluctant bodyguard to Rosie. While in prison, his name got on "the list," a collection of people to go to when you've exhausted all other options. Written by Jeff Cross <blackjac_1998@yahoo.com>

Promising pilot

"Pointman" tells the story of Connie Harper, Wall Street yuppie, who is framed by fellow yuppies and sent to prison. In prison he learns all the tricks needed for survival in the streets.

This is an enjoyable and funny TV movie with the star of many 80s TV shows Jack Scalia. Although the story is thin and the basic idea pretty bad, Scalia does a good job as the main character with a great deal of self-irony. You'll like this one if you're in the right mood.

"Pointman" was followed by a lame TV show with the same title and Scalia as Harper. I don't recommend it.
