Chris Pratt’s path to success started as a door-to-door salesman.
The 37-year-old old actor took a dip for the February issue of Vanity Fair and opened up about life before becoming a movie star.
“I was selling coupons for things like oil changes or trips to a spa. I was great at that,” he tells the mag, noting it helped prepare him for getting rejected for acting roles later in life.
“That’s why I believe in God and the divine. I feel like it was perfectly planned. People talk about rejection in Hollywood. I’m like, ‘You’re outta your f****n’ mind. Did you ever have someone sic their dog on you at an audition?”

Chris Pratt has his brother to thank for his acting career.
Pratt, 37, opened up about his road to Hollywood, revealing that it was his older brother Cully Pratt that first inspired him to start acting.
“One Christmas, he was in a play, a musical, and sang, and it knocked everyone’s socks off. My mom was crying. And I was like, ‘That’s what I want to do,’ ” he told Vanity Fair, in which he poses shirtless and immersed in a lake on the cover.
