Storyline

Major Benson Winifred Payne is being discharged from the Marines. Payne is a killin' machine, but the wars of the world are no longer fought on the battlefield. A career Marine, he has no idea what to do as a civilian, so his commander finds him a job - commanding officer of a local school's JROTC program, a bunch or ragtag losers with no hope. Using such teaching tools as live grenades and real bullets, Payne starts to instill the corp with some hope. But when Payne is recalled to fight in Bosnia, will he leave the corp that has just started to believe in him, or will he find out that killin' ain't much of a livin'? Goofs

The cadets should be in Class B attire: army green slacks, black shoes, shirt unbuttoned at the top or with neck tie, and army garrison cap or depending on the time of year, class A which includes all of above with the class A coat rather than wearing their BDU (battle dress uniform). However, it should be noted that many private institutions do not use issue JROTC uniforms, and instead opt to wear a uniform distinctive to their school. See more »

Seriously Funny
20 January 2004 | by See all my reviews

This was a truly fun movie. Being x-military myself I thought this was a great movie. I laughed all the way through from start to finish. The shooting of the bogyman through the closet door was priceless. The story of the "Little Engine That Could" was great. I hope that a sequel will be made where they have the blind guy and his Seeing Eye dog. That will be funny stuff.
