Honest depiction of the second stage of economic reform in China
3 December 2003 | by See all my reviews

The literal translation of the title of this film is Stock Crazed.

This film accurately depicts the second stage of the economic reform of urban liberalization in China, which started in 1992. One of the characteristics of the reform was that the domestic stock exchange such the one in Shanghai was open to ordinary citizens like the one depicted in this film.
