Michael Madsen accidentally banged Burton Gilliam's face into the closet door for real. As a direct result of this, Gilliam had to be taken to the hospital to get four or five stitches in his lower lip and was thus unable to work for five days until the swelling went down and the stitches were subsequently removed.
During the scene where Carol (Basinger) is driving the car and Doc (Baldwin) is shooting from the back seat, a spent cartridge ejected from the gun hit Basinger on the lip. Filming stopped for over a week while the wound healed.
While at the dump, Doc is toying with a radio control car which is obviously a Volkswagen. In the original, this is the same type of vehicle in which Steve and Ali are setting as they converse during their dump scene.
When Rudy Travis (Michael Madsen) kidnaps a married couple, Harold Carvey, DVM (James Stephens) and Fran Carvey (Jennifer Tilly) Rudy ties Harold to a chair in one scene. In Reservoir Dogs (1992) Mr Blonde (Madsen) tied Marvin Nash (Kirk Baltz) to a chair.
