Trivia

The bookstore that Gabriel owns is located in the famous Bourbon St of the French Quarter, New Orleans. See more »

Goofs

At one point, Gabriel attends a college lecture which he also records with his tape recorder. At the end he gets drowsy and falls asleep. As he does so the lecturers statement become garbled indicating Gabriel's loss of focus. When the tape is played back, one would expect the end of the lecture to not be garbled, since the tape recorder itself doesn't fall asleep, but the end of the recording repeats the same garbled ending. Quotes

Narrator: Gabriel's mini-stereo isn't exactly high-fidelity. Then again, neither is he.

It's old, but head and shoulders above most games today.

They don't make games like this everyday. The original Gabriel

Knight mystery showed the world how to make a computer game. You

control Gabriel Knight, a budding true-crime novelist in New

Orleans. He's caught up in the investigation of the recent

Voodoo Murders with the help of his assistant, Grace Nakimura,

and his buddy on the police force, Mosely. This game is the

complete opposite of a shoot-em-up; you must figure out the

mystery and try to keep Gabe's sanity. Gather the clues, try to

save the girl, and discover Gabe's hidden past.
