The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Sex & Nudity: 4/10.

An illustration of a breast is seen on a real movie poster.

A common theme throughout the film is transvestites. In one scene, one performs burlesque but he only goes down to a bra and panties.

In scene of premier of the movie 'Bride of a monster', a kid grabs breasts of vampira in havoc.

Occasional frank sexual dialogue.

Violence & Gore

Violence & Gore: 5/10.

When Ed casts a different woman for a part in a film, Dolores throws several things at him including glass and comically chases him around with a frying pan. Bela Lugosi attempts suicide with a revolver, but he doesn't go through with it. He is also in pain from drug rehab and with tons of holes in his arms from needles.

Profanity

Profanity: 7/10.

Several uses of "fuck", a few uses of "shit", 2 uses of "cocksucker", 1 use of "tits", a few uses of "asshole" and several uses of "goddamn".

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: 6/10.

Implied use of morphine, the needles are shown and the pain of it. The character is seen going through rehab with a lot of pain. People are seen smoking and drinking.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: 5/10.

The scene where Bela Lugosi holds a revolver to his head preparing to commit suicide and asking Ed Wood to come with him is extremely intense, but he doesn't go through with it.

[spoiler]Some may be scared when Dolores throws stuff at Ed.

Some scenes with a fake octopus may be scary to younger viewers.

An idea of how accurate the TECE (below) is: 5-10 is little-kid suitable, G-Rated type of film (i.e. Care Bears, Sleeping Beauty); 10-15 is going to be a little harsher, but not by much (i.e. The Incredibles); 15-20 could be pretty high up there (i.e. Indiana Jones), 20-25 can be less kid-suitable(i.e. THIS); 25-30 is going to be a film most likely not suitable for children (i.e The Dark Knight), 30-40 is going to be a film meant for adults and NOT for children (i.e. Saving Private Ryan), and films that go over 40 are high in explicit content and only for mature audiences.

Total Explicit Content Estimation: 29/50.
