this rarely seen comedy is sheer delight from beginning to end. written, directed and starring the terrificly gifted stephen berkoff in his first screen lead and directorial debut; the entire film is a laugh a minute. anything which also features joan collins in a supporting role is worth seeing alone along with a cameo from micheal winner (!?). this is probably the only filmed record of stephen at his manic theatrical best and methinks the only movie i've seen of him which resembles his superb stage monologues as oppossed to dross like 'beverly hills cop' and 'under the cherry moon'. i managed to see this one night on sky many moons ago and to the best of my knowledge it's never been shown on national t.v. which is a crying shame. it's available on pal video and is well worth seeing!
