Entertaining Fantasy from Full Moon!!!
1 November 2005 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Dark Angel: The Ascent (1994) is a very good film, excellent by full moon standards...... probably among the best they've ever released! It's about this sexy demon called Veronica who is in Hell with her parents, she gets no pleasure in torturing the eternally damned so she finds a way to escape Hell and she comes to earth to enter the land of the living and seek salvation.

Along with her dog "Hellraiser", Veronica punishes evil people on earth when she sees them committing crimes and only one person can stop her ruthless retribution - Dr Max Harris, a kind and friendly man who wouldn't hurt a fly.

Max finds Veronica in the street one evening and takes the mysterious girl into his home for food and a roof over her head, they soon fall in love but their innocent romance quickly turns into a sinful adventure as the couple become entwined in a supernatural struggle for Veronica's soul, she realises she has killed people and made mistakes during her short time on earth but she doesn't want to go back to HELL and suffer with the damned.

If you want to see a dark fantasy movie thats fun and fast paced then track this little gem down. 8/10.
