The Mighty Ducks TV series in development

It looks like Disney may be planning to dust off The Mighty Ducks franchise, with THR reporting that ABC Signature Studios is in early development on a TV series based upon the 1990 feature film.

According to the site, ABC Signature chief Tracy Underwood has put the project into development after being approached by Steven Brill, writer of the original trilogy of movies, and produce Jordan Kerner. Brill is set to pen the script, and if it impresses, ABC Signature will look to package the project with talent and shop it out to streaming services, or potentially keep it for Disney’s own upcoming streaming platform.

The Mighty Ducks was released in 1992, and starred Emilio Estevez as Gordon Bombay, an attorney who ends up coaching a young hockey team as community service after being arrested for drink driving. The film was a hit at the box office, and led to two

‘Mighty Ducks’ TV Series in the Works, Should Bring Back the Triple-Deke

1992. Simpler times. In those days, you could be a super successful lawyer (How successful? How's winning 30 straight cases sound, champ?), then get busted for drunk driving, and be sentenced to community service coaching the local pee-wee hockey team. Yeah that was the actual premise for the surprising pop culture hit, The Mighty Ducks. The original film, which featured Emilio Estevez as the lawyer/coach-whose-heart-grew-two-sizes Gordon Bombay, was but the first of what would become a trilogy with D2: The Mighty Ducks and D3: The Mighty Ducks following in 1994 and 1996. A Future of ‘Flatliners’: 5 Bad ’90s Movies That Hollywood Should Remake for Millennials

A Future of ‘Flatliners’: 5 Bad ’90s Movies That Hollywood Should Remake for Millennials
This Friday will see the release of a horror film called “Flatliners,” a movie title that should be instantly familiar to anyone who spent the ’90s trawling the shelves of their local video store in search of something — anything — to watch that weekend. Perhaps best remembered as the crusty VHS that was always sandwiched between “The Fisher King” and “Fried Green Tomatoes,” the original “Flatliners” was an asinine but atmospheric psychological horror thing that starred Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt, and Billy Baldwin as foolhardy med students who start experimenting with life after death. Nothing goes wrong and they all live happily ever after.

Now, perhaps motivated by the fact that the mere act of making a movie in 2017 feels like an experiment with life after death, Hollywood is about to unleash a remake starring Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, and Kiersey Clemons. Directed by Niels Arden Oplev,

John Landis’ 1978 classic college comedy follows the rowdy Delta Tau Chi fraternity’s battle to remain on campus after they provoked the ire of the conniving Dean of the college. Features John Belushi in his most anarchic performance, toga parties, and sing-a-longs to “Louie Louie” and “Shout!”

Will 'Mighty Ducks 4' Ever Happen?

Will 'Mighty Ducks 4' Ever Happen?
In this cinematic era, we hear about new reboots and sequels that revive older properties practically every day, in both movies and television. While it seems that any movie which had a modicum of success is ripe for a sequel or a reboot, that may not always be the case. The Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg recently appeared on the Nerdist Podcast, where he revealed that he pitched The Mighty Ducks 4 to Disney. But guess what? They weren't interested. Here's what he had to say, revealing he came up with a 20-page treatment for the potential sequel.

"I came up with a whole - it's like a 20-page treatment, and I've pitched it. The movie meant a lot to me, because the goalie on it is named Goldberg, and he wore a Flyers jersey. I was from Philly, and it spoke to me and my brother Barry. We watched it

Cast of D2: The Mighty Ducks Reunites for One More 'Flying V'

Cast of D2: The Mighty Ducks Reunites for One More 'Flying V'
It really warms our hearts when the cast of a film remain friends after the film wraps. Which is why we love these photos of the cast of D2: The Mighty Ducks, who got together Sunday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film's release. The quack attack is back, Jack! Christopher Redman posted this photo of the cast forming the film's iconic "flying V" formation on a tennis court, and Marguerite Moreau posted pics with the other cast members, now all grown up. Notably missing: Joshua Jackson, Kenan Thompson, and Emilio Estevez. But despite those absences, there doesn't appear

Mighty Ducks cast recreate the Flying-v 20 years later

In 1992 Emilio Estevez (The Breakfast Club) starred as former hockey player turned successful lawyer turned drunk driver turned peewee league coach Gordon Bombay in The Mighty Ducks – titled Champions in the U.K. – Disney’s low budget ice hockey family drama. It turned out to be a surprise hit, spawning two sequels and launching the careers of some well known actors. Actress Marguerite Moreau who played Connie in all three Ducks movies initiated a cast reunion of sorts via her Instagram when she posted a picture of a Mighty Ducks whistle accompanied by the status “calling all brethren”.

The reunion consisted mainly of the D2: The Mighty Ducks cast including Mike Vitar who played Luis Mendoza, Garette Ratliff Henson who played Guy, Vincent Larusso who played Adam Banks, Aaron Lohr who played Dean Portman, Shaun Weiss who played Goldberg and Scott Whyte who played the Iceland captain Gunnar Stahl.

Unfortunately Emilio Estevez,

The Mighty Ducks Reunite to Form the Flying V

I just showed my kids the The Mighty Ducks for the first time recently, and they seemed to enjoy it. Now they want to be hockey players. I was surprised to learn that over the weekend there was a Mighty Ducks reunion for the 20th anniversary of the release of D2: The Mighty Ducks. I seriously can't believe it's been 20 years since the sequel came out! That makes me feel really old. The cast came together and posted photos of the event on Instagram, but one of the best ones was when they got together to form the famous "Flying V" from the movie. The photo above came with the follow caption:

"Flying V!!!! Scott Whyte, Aaron Schwartz, Colombe Jacobsen, mike Vitar, Stephen Herek, rob Lieberman, Vincent Larusso, @garretth Elden Henden, Carsten Norwgard, Jordan Kerner, Brandon Adams, Danny Tamborelli, Asron Lohr, Maria Ellingsen, Matt Dohery, Shawn Weiss #mightyducks #mD2 #20yearreunion

The Mighty Ducks Reunited And Formed The Flying V

There was a Mighty Ducks reunion over the weekend to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of D2: The Mighty Ducks. But don.t worry if you.re instantly feeling depressed because you weren.t there to mark the occasion, because the cast has bombarded the internet with pictures to document their reconciliation. The posse even took it upon themselves to recreate their infamous Flying V formation from the films, but rather than standing on an ice-rink for the picture they used a tennis court instead. Despite this minor discrepancy it.s hard not to feel nostalgic looking at the group together again. But the fun didn.t stop there! The cast rallied together for numerous photographs as the afternoon wore on. Perhaps the most impressive of the batch transformation-wise was the thinned down Shaun Weiss, who infamously portrayed the rather portly goalkeeper Greg Goldberg in the franchise. You

Proving that Ducks do, indeed, fly together, the cast of “D2: The Mighty Ducks” flocked together of the anniversary of their films release and posed for a now-viral shot.

Christopher Redman shared the awesome photo of the cast perfecting the Flying V pose from the famous hockey flick. And though they posed on a tennis court instead of the ice, it is still an awesome shot of the cast members.

In addition to the v, there were plenty of other awesome reunion shots including a photo of Marguerite Moreau, who played the lovable Connie.
