Trivia

Although planned for a 1991 release, Clifford became one of many films (including RoboCop 3 (1993)) produced by Orion and filmed years before its release date. The reason it was not released until 1994 was due to company Orion's pending bankruptcy, and not because of bad press screenings, as some sources claim. See more »

Quotes

Martin Daniels: Climb abord Clifford!, are you excited, Clifford?
Clifford: Yes, cause it has always been my dream, Uncle Martin
Martin Daniels: Yeah, the same way as building a transit system was always my dream.
Clifford: Why do you say was?, did something happen to it?
Martin Daniels: [mocking Clifford] HAD SOMETHING HAPPENED TO IT?, we'll see how you feel about your dream after being on the ride for ten hours.
Clifford: Ten hours!, I'd say i'd like it even more!
Martin Daniels: Then we'll see how you would feel after 100 hours.

Funny...But Weird
12 March 2004 | by (Staten Island, New York) – See all my reviews

This movie is a little weird. It's very unusual to see a grown man playing a 10 year old boy. But it was funny. Martin Short is hilarious as a psycho 10 year old boy! Charles Grodin is funny as Hell as the psycho 10 year old's uncle who tries to keep his nephew under control! I haven't seen a lot of Martin Short movies but judging by this performance, he must be a very funny comedian. I like how Clifford(Short) always calls Sarah Davis(Mary Steenburgen) 'Miss Sarah Davis'. It's just funny the way he says it. Anyway, I recommend this movie to everyone. It's hilarious and fun for the whole family.
