The vastly under-rated Virginia Madsen heads the cast in this semi-obscure gem from '94. The story about a mother whose child has been killed in a crossfire and seeks vengeance is pulled off brilliantly by a good script. I really liked the back story about the Blue Tiger and the Red Dragon or was it a Red Tiger? I haven't seen this in a while, so forgive. There are so many great things in this film, the action scenes are superbly pulled off, no one seems to go the 'ole cheesy way and mug to the camera. I think if anyone else had been in the main role this film would have greatly suffered, Virginia Madsen, is an outstanding actress, who for some odd reason seems to have been remembered for Candyman only. If you like this film then check out The Dead Can't Lie with Tommy Lee Jones. Great stuff
