Carrie Underwood continues to slay! The 32-year-old country star rocked the 2015 Cma Music Festival in Nashville on Saturday and showcased her amazing post-baby body in a black sleeveless top over a black, glittering pair of shot shorts, paired with a sparkly, beaded long fringed vest and several lawyered necklaces Underwood gave birth to her and her NHL star husband Mike Fisher's first child, son Isaiah Michael Fisher, more than three months ago. At the festival, she performed songs such as "Blown Away," "Before He Cheats" and "Little Toy Guns." Underwood shared on her Instagram page a couple of videos of herself performing, including one from a rehearsal. She »

"Blown Away”... by that bod! Country superstar Carrie Underwood unveiled her slim post-baby body on the red carpet of the 2015 Cmt Music Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday, June 10. The new mom, 32, beamed in a form-fitting, white-hot, long-sleeve minidress by Thomas Wylde, featuring intricate crystal clusters. Underwood's tiny dress showed off her lean, toned legs, which she emphasized with a pair of silver, mirrored stilettos, and accessorized her overall look with a pewter hand-beaded clutch designed by Deepa Gurnani. Carrie Underwood Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Giving Birth in Sexy White Dress at the 2015 Cmt Music Awards

10 June 2015 4:51 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Prepare to be blown away. After an extended post-maternity red carpet hiatus, Carrie Underwood is back. And our reaction is something along the lines of: Hallelujah! Styling a skintight white Thomas Wylde bodycon with metallic embellishments and a Deepa Gurnani clutch, the new mom looked absolutely radiant, daresay hotter than ever.  The "Blown Away" singer and her NHL hubby Mike Fisher welcomed their first child, Isaiah Michael Fisher, back in February. But since giving birth, the new mom has kept quiet, probably to squeeze in some quality time with her husband and adorable baby boy.  Really though, it's no surprise that Carrie looks just as drop-dead gorgeous as ever, especially after »

Clint Mansell Set to Score Ben Wheatley's Adaptation of 'High Rise'

3 April 2015 2:00 PM, PDT | | See recent news »

The last feature film score that composer Clint Mansell delivered was for Darren Aronofsky's Noah, and it was certainly one of the finer points in of the Biblical epic. Before that, he delivered the haunting scores for Stoker as well as music for the thriller Filth. But otherwise, he's laid pretty low key, and isn't working as frequently as some of his colleagues. But coming up we're likely to get some magnificent work from Mansell as Film Music Reporter (via SlashFilm) reports that he will be composing the score for High Rise, the adaptation of J.G. Ballard's novel of the same name from Kill List and Sightseers director Ben Wheatley. The composer himself confirmed the news on Twitter and is thrilled with the response: Blown away by the love shown to my involvement with @mr_wheatley & #HighRise It means a lot to me and I'll do my best to not fuck it up! »

Randal Olson is a computer science graduate at Michigan State University. He's the head moderator for the subReddit r/dataisbeautiful, which focuses on, as you might imagine, data visualizations. One of Olson's hobbies is what he calls "data tinkering," in which, in his words, he "tackles a new data analysis problem." This week, he decided to compute the optimal road trip for hitting all 48 contiguous states in the U.S. The criteria - as put forth by Olson and the person who posed the challenge, Tracy Staedter from Discovery News - are as follows: 1. The trip must make at least »

Perfect Storm: Mystery Tinged Romance from Nadda Gets Blown Away in Gusts

There’s much to admire in Montreal-born director Ruba Nadda’s latest film, October Gale, which reunites her with the Patricia Clarkson, star of her generally well-received 2009 film, Cairo Time. Nadda once again provides Clarkson with a melancholy tinged lead role that provides us with a framework that recalls classic ‘women’s pictures’ of the studio era, something we’d most likely have seen from a Cukor or Negulesco and starring the embittered likes of a Joan Crawford or Barbara Stanwyck. Clarkson evokes a softer sentimentality than those references, which may explain why many will be dismayed when the film suddenly becomes a romance tinged mystery thriller, only one that doesn’t want to sacrifice any of these particular elements and therefore tends to seem watered down on all fronts.

American Idol Season 14 Premiere Recap: Dancing With a Star!

7 January 2015 6:00 PM, PST | | See recent news »

American Idol is determined to discover a Carrie Underwood-level superstar in 2015 — as the show’s promotional tour and ad campaign keep reminding us — but it probably wouldn’t be bad for ratings if it managed to land a fourth husband for Jennifer Lopez, either.

I’m not trying to besmirch the good name of the Artist Formerly Known as an In Living Color Fly Girl. After all, she’s the one who commanded flirty 20-year-old Michael Simeon to take their slow dance from middle-school chaste to senior-prom snuggly all while he crooned Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” during his Nashville audition. »

Recap: 'American Idol' Season 14 Premiere

7 January 2015 6:00 PM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

"American Idol" is back for Season 14 and it's important to remind you: The last two winners have been Candice Glover and Caleb Johnson. For the past few years, the ability to make stars has been the thing "Idol" has used to set it apart from the higher-rated "Voice." It's not like the coronation of Phillip Phillips, an artist with probably more album sales than every "Voice" winner combined, was that long ago, but in a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately business, "Idol" could use another breakout soon. [Note that ratings were Way down for "The Voice" this past season, as the NBC singing competition appears to have peaked and be heading into the predictable slide that almost all competition shows eventually go into. While pundits love to talk trash about the decline in "Idol" ratings, folks were oddly silent about "The Voice" in the fall. Shrug.] Expect more declines for "Idol" this season, but a breakout, incandescent star might help. So let's get down to the business of recapping Wednesday (January 7) night's premiere! With Fox sending out screeners, the live-blog times line up with episode time-code and not with any time from a real clock. Oh and Thursday's (January 8) two-hour »
