  • Crew or equipment visible: Panavision camera visible in the bottom left hand corner of the screen when the car pulls into the chop shop.

  • Continuity: Axel fires more than a full clip of bullets without reloading.

  • Factual errors: Airbags deflate in well under a second and hence would not obstruct a driver's view of the road as indicated.

  • Continuity: The hand that the dead guy in the popcorn holds his gun with.

  • Continuity: During the shoot out scene near the beginning of the movie, the car which Axel Foley is hiding behind shows too few bullet holes in the wide shots and too many in the close-up shots.

  • Continuity: When the guard jumps over the railing onto Axel, in the security tunnel at Wonder World, Axel drops his gun. Axel then knees the security guard in the face and runs away without picking up his gun. In the next shot, another security guard runs over to help the downed guard and Axel's gun is gone.

  • Continuity: When Axel gets the blueprint for the park, he puts it in the suit between the suit and his clothes. In the next shot he takes off the suit and he doesn't pick up a blueprint.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the shootout in the beginning of the movie, all the bad guys carry submachine guns with suppressors, yet the sound when they shoot is that from regular unsuppressed fire.

  • Factual errors: The cars shown in the chop shop have Michigan license plates in the front. In Michigan, cars only have rear plates.

  • Continuity: When Dewalt is getting his award, Axel and Billy move up and stand next to a exit door listening to the speech, later you see a wide shot of the crowd and you see them moving up towards the same door, they cut to them standing still and not moving but still in front of the same door.

  • Continuity: Axel has Janice put the blueprint in his suit, when he takes the suit off, Axel takes the blueprint out of his back pocket of his jeans. There is no way he could have moved it with the suit on.

  • Boom mic visible: When Axel is being held at gunpoint underground in the park he is sitting in a black office chair a boom mike with a black windscreen can clearly be seen moving near Axel's knees and the chairs seat bottom.

  • Miscellaneous: At the chop-shop, when Axel is pretending to be a customer, he refers to his unmarked Chevrolet Caprice as a Buick. While he may have just innocently said a different make for whatever reason, it stands to reason that any chop-shop operator would know the difference between and Chevrolet and a Buick, and therefore would have not taken him very seriously, putting his operation at risk because he was not convincing enough in his "act".

  • Factual errors: At least twice during the film, characters refer to the counterfeit paper as being "U.S. Mint quality". However, the U.S. Mint (contrary to common misconception) does not print paper currency. It only mints coins. Paper money is made by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. One of the characters who makes the error is the Secret Service Agent. Since the primary purpose of the Secret Service is to prevent counterfeiting, one would think a Secret Service Agent would be knowledgeable about where paper money is printed.

  • Continuity: When Foley first sees the room where the counterfeit money is being printed, De Wald sees his full body reflection in the mirror. But clearly the mirror is not at such an angle to see Foley's full body, maybe just his feet.

  • Continuity: Right after Foley sees the counterfeit money room and is cornered in the main park area by security, he pulls out his gun and fires three rounds into the air. When he lowers the gun and the camera is on him again, the gun appears to be empty (the barrel is completely exposed and waiting to be re-cocked).

  • Factual errors: During the scene with the 'Spider' attraction, several factors are incorrect. First, Foley appears to casually open the door to his cabin on the attraction to begin his rescue. When properly closed, these can only be opened from the outside. Also, when the loose cabin falls, it shatters as if it's made from thin wood. In actuality, these cabins are made of steel and fiberglass. They would likely crack, but the chances of them shattering on impact are slim. Finally, safety restrictions only allow the ride to be operated in one direction without a maintenance key engaged. Even the unrealistic short at the control booth would not allow the attraction to change directions mid-cycle.

  • Revealing mistakes: After the daring rescue of the two children from the Spider attraction, Axel jumps to the ground moments before the cabin from the ride breaks away. Immediately upon hitting the ground, you can clearly see he has two large dolls around his neck, not the rescued children.

  • Continuity: When Axel is rescuing the two kids from the damaged "Spider" ride at Wonderworld, the rope which he rescues them on grows several times between shots. In the first few shots, the rope clearly ends only a few feet down from where Axel and the children are hanging; there are obviously hundreds of feet between the end of the rope and the ground. In the next shot or two, the three of them are sliding down on a section of rope which was not previously there. And in the last few shots, Axel and the kids finish sliding down the rope (which now appears to end about one foot from the ground), and run to avoid being crushed under the falling carriage.
