Storyline

In Detroit, Axel Foley leads a raid on a chop shop. When they go in, the people inside start shooting at them. Foley's boss, Inspector Todd, joins them. Someone shoots Todd and before dying Todd tells Foley to get him. Foley tries to catch him but some Feds stop him. They don't tell him why they're letting him get away. Based on things the shooters left behind, leads Foley to believe that the shooters have ties to an amusement park in Beverly Hills. So Foely goes there and asks his old friend, Billy Rosewood who's been promoted to a "prestigious position" for help. He meets Billy's new partner, Jon Flint. He asks if they know anyone at the amusement park and Flint tells him he knows the head of security, Ellis DeWald. Foley goes to the park and after a little misadventure, he meets DeWald and recognizes him as the man who killed Todd. But everybody including Flint tells Foley DeWald is a good guy. But Axel knows he's the one. He would be approached a park employee who tries to help ... Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com

Goofs

On the spider ride, all of the cars are held to the arms by two chains and a cable at the center of the car's roof. When the car that the children are in breaks away, it is shown that the cable breaks, which then causes one of the chains to break. In all subsequent shots, the remaining chain is shown to be attached to the edge of the car's roof, not the center. No other car has such an attachment point. If the remaining chain had been attached to the center, the car would not have tipped as extremely as it did. See more »

Eddie Murphy isn't as Energetic this Time Around, but it's Still a Lot of Fun,
5 November 2013 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Beverly Hills Cop 3 is an enjoyable movie with a decent storyline and a good comedic cast. Its certainly not better than the first two Beverly Hills Cop but it's still has good comedy and action. My main problem is that Eddie Murphy just didn't seem as inspired this time around,he made Axel in to a much more serious character,I'm not sure if that's how the script was written but I think it was just his acting, definitely one of Murphy's most dull performances,he is usually much more lively. However there still are scenes where Axel Foley had me laughing out loud and Murphy was really in character, particularly the scene where he accidentally ends up in stage and starts dancing with the costumed characters.I really enjoy the Beverly Hills Cop movies and hope a fourth one is someday made,Murphy's age will not be a problem because he still looks great and still plays very lively characters in his movies.Fans of the first two will without a doubt be disappointed, but should definitely watch it because the characters and story is still good.

Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) returns to Beverly Hills to find the men who killed his boss, and finds out the case is much more difficult when it leads him to a theme park where the same men are making counterfeit money within the park.
