Ava's magical adventure was neither magical nor much of an adventure.
Especially when it's claimed for the emotionless elephant named Ava
is the star of the title(not the picture). This was a badly done attempt
make a movie out of a Mark Twain story called "Stolen White Elephant."(I
sure hope his story was better than this movie.) The only thing
was the character that Georg Stanford Brown plays as an escaped convict
befriends the young child who abducts the elephant. The movie seemed
confused from the beginning as far as what it wanted to do. At times it
a silly comedy, other times a heartwarming animal-loving story, other
a tearjearker about the lives of the people involved with the story.
of these are carried out very well. What were left with is a mess that
sure Twain would turn over in his grave if he had to watch.
