Trivia
There is a brief reference to Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil killing someone. In 1984, the band Hanoi Rocks was opening for Motley Crue, and some members of both bands ended up at Vince's home for a party. Vince and Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingy went to get more liquor, when Vince was involved in an accident that claimed Razzle's life and severely injured two people in an oncoming car.

Goofs
The sign outside of the station lists the broadcast frequency as 103.6. FM radio stations in America always use odd numbers for their broadcast frequencies. However, like the infamous '555' telephone exchange, this is deliberate use of fictitious numbering.

Oh yeah! That was for all you pinheads out there too hip to take off your leather jackets in this 95 degree heat. Now I know when the weather gets like this it brings all you nut bags out of the wood pile. And since I am a trouble magnet, I have one thing to say to you bozos, and that is, back off. Is this the funniest movie of the decade? I guess not but I think it has certainly deserved its obvious place in the top ten. I remember what kind of a crazy experience "Airheads" was when I watched it for the first time and didn't know what to expect. I almost died of hysterical laughter. This movie is so over-filled with terrific, absurd and both idiotic as well as surprisingly clever rock n' roll -oriented humor it's hard to believe anyone could watch it without constantly bursting into laughter. Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi are both extravagantly funny and even though I've never really cared for Adam Sandler even he is great in this. "Airheads" is a perfect comedy for every hard rock freak across the planet. Nice touch by the way: nobody couldn't have possibly think of a more suitable song for the end credits than the superb Ramones classic "We want the airwaves". Little warning: If you haven't seen this laugh riot yet do yourself a favor and don't watch the trailer in advance. Personally I feel that it alone gives away too much hilarious punch lines and jokes. Enjoy.
