8 September 2016 11:08 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

A few weeks after Ben Affleck made headlines with his mysterious Deathstroke video, it has been confirmed that this character will be the main villain of the actor/director's Batman reboot, with Joe Manganiello set to star. DC Entertainment CEO Geoff Johns, who is co-writing the script with director/star Ben Affleck, confirmed the news in an interview to discuss his new role as head of DC Films. However, he wouldn't confirm if Deathstroke will have a cameo in Justice League, which is currently filming in London.

Shortly after the video was posted of Deathstroke, which appeared to be taken from the Justice League set, a report claimed that this iconic character will serve as the main villain in this Batman reboot. Joe Manganiello had been rumored to play Deathstroke back in March 2015, as part of the Suicide Squad cast, but that character wasn't even included in the movie, when it hit theaters this August. »

The report comes from The Wrap, which reveals Deathstroke's presence in the Batman Reboot, but doesn't reveal who will be playing this villain. It's possible that Deathstroke is being played by Colin Farrell, who we reported last month is in talks for a mystery role in Justice League. It isn't known how large or small Deathstroke's role is in this movie, but it's possible he'll merely be introduced »

The search for Pablo Escobar (played by Wagner Moura) is on in the new trailer for Season 2 of “Narcos,” the Netflix drama that chronicles the life of the infamous Colombian drug kingpin. After having escaped prison untouched, everyone including the DEA, the Cali Cartel, Los Pepes and the search bloc want payback. It won’t be an easy task ahead for all since “Pablo is never more dangerous than when you almost have him.”

In the second season, DEA agents Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook) and Javier Peña (Pedro Pascal) continue their pursuit to end the drug trade and, along with various other groups, want Escobar dead.

“Putting an end to Pablo, is a patriotic act,” says a member of Los Pepes, a vigilante group composed of Escobar enemies.
