Goofs

Joey and Chandler's apartment has a heat radiator in the living room by the window. In later episodes it is not there. There's also a radiator in the hall just outside their apartment that disappears in later episodes. The wall of the kitchen at the door (at side of refrigerator) there are kitchen gadgets/dishes and food on shelving. That disappears forever in later episodes. The tub in their apartment appears and disappears depending on what is going on. Open bathroom door shows no bathtub at all against the back wall, then shows a sink, then tub with shower curtain for. Chandler playing with the duck in the tub shows it back against the wall again. There's nothing on the wall behind their kitchen sink, then there are shelves, then there is a microwave, no shelves. Monica's apartment has some type of 'awning' over the kitchen area that disappears in later episodes (remember she bonked Ben's head on it and Ross ran into it). Joey claims someone across the way from Monica's apartment with a telescope is looking at him in his apartment. There's no way that could happen based on the view outside that window, plus no way could anyone watch him cooking via a window. Monica never locks her apartment door, yet the day Joey tries to hide from his crazy stalker, Brooke Shields, the door is locked and he and Chandler cannot get in. See more »

Quotes

Jack Geller: I remember when we first got engaged.
Chandler: Oh, I don't think I ever heard that story.
Monica: Oh dad, really you don't need to...
Jack Geller: [ignoring her] Well, I'd gotten Judy pregnant. I still don't know that happened.
Judy Geller: [incredulous] You don't know how that happened? Your dog thought my diaphragm was a chew toy.

The greatest sit-com ever!
16 February 2004 | by (Europe) – See all my reviews

Ask anybody which TV-show is their favorite, and they are most likely to say "Friends". Since the first episode premiered in America in September 1994, millions of people tune in every week to see Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross cope with their lives in Manhattan.

Before "Friends", the six actors who play the main characters were all unknown. Today, Jennifer, Courteney, Lisa, Matt, Matthew and David are six of the most known people in the world.

what is it that makes this show so funny? I don't even know if I can answer that. For the past ten years, the world have been able to follow the gang's lives, which are very funny. Can it be Chandler's jokes, Monica's pedantidity, Phoebe's songs or Joey's stupidity that makes Friends to the most liked TV-show in the history? My answer would be that all of the six main characters contribute in their own special ways. Alone, they are useless because something's obviously missing, but together, they complete each other which results in six hilarious people.

The first seasons were funnier than the later, but the show is still great, and it's very sad that they have decided to cancel it. But that's understandable, since quitting when they are at the very top is better than to be forced to quit because of low ratings.
