This was an incredibly acted, charming, and quite witty little series that CBS never even gave a chance. The incredible and unforgettable cast -- with Harriet Sansom Harris's acid-tongued Vivian and Eileen Heckart's evil-yet-loving Mother Buchanan as standouts -- was quite possibly one of the most near-perfect ensembles ever assembled for a sitcom. While the show could definitely be a little sitcom-y and corny at times, the hysterical one-liners and top-notch performances more than made up for any faults. Check out some of the "TFMB" quotes I've added here at the IMDb! They're absolutely hysterical! It's just such a major shame that the show never lasted beyond one season; it never had the chance to develop into the TV classic it could have been...
