With Ward 17 closed down, the team from All Saints face big changes as they are split up and some are moved to the fast paced world of the Emergency Department, headed by Director of Emergency Frank Campion.
Following the crew of the patrol boat HMAS Hammersley, as they patrol the northern sea border of Australia. They have to deal with foreign fishermen poaching fish, smugglers and with political unrest in a neighbouring island state.
First season was filmed with the co-operation of the Queensland Fire Service and used the name logo and appliances. The second season was not supported by QFS and the logo, name and station was changed and appliances were purchased for filming. See more »
I'm writing at the end of a series of "Fire", in which a debatable incident of sexual harrasment causes division and strife within the fire station. It was a very thoughtful treatment of the problem of sexual harrasment, one that proposed no simplistic solutions and was balanced and gripping. The performances by the crew in the entire series were believable.
