Who is Caitlin McHugh? Get to know John Stamos’s fiancee and soon-to-be mom to his child

John Stamos is expecting his first child with fiancee Caitlin McHugh, the actor has announced. He told People magazine that the pair — who have a 23 year age difference — knew that they were ready to start a family and didn’t want to wait until they got married. While most people are familiar with Stamos, 54, thanks to his appearances in everything from General Hospital and Full House to ER, McHugh is a little less in the limelight. However, despite being just 31 she has already had a successful career in her own right as an actress, writer and model. The...read more

Lethal Weapon 4: a retrospective

Guy Buckland Dec 14, 2017

Guy takes a belated look at the fourth (but possibly not final) film in the Lethal Weapon franchise…

Spoilers lie ahead for Lethal Weapons 2 to 4.

See related Star Citizen: latest gameplay video shows $100m space sim in action Star Citizen's cast includes Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson

At the beginning of 2016, Den of Geek gave me the opportunity to rank the Lethal Weapon films in order of merit and then write about each one individually. This made me very happy, as it is a franchise for which I have a great deal of passion – both positive and negative. But like a reluctant hit man stuck in a clichéd redemption arc, I just couldn’t finish the job.

By the time I had produced a well-reasoned account of why the third in the series was objectively the worst – an assertion I still stand by, despite what you’re about

Quentin Tarantino has pitched J.J. Abrams a Star Trek movie, may direct

Back in September, during preparation for his upcoming Manson Family film #9, Quentin Tarantino revealed that he had an idea for a Star Trek movie, and that it “would be worth having a meeting about”.

Well, it seems he has had a meeting about it, with Deadline revealing that Tarantino has shared his idea with J.J. Abrams, producer on Paramount Pictures’ rebooted Trek universe, prompting Paramount to assemble a writers room to develop the idea. Should it work out, Tarantino may also take on directing duties, with Abrams – who is currently prepping Star Wars: Episode IX – serving as producer.

Although he’s toyed with the idea of a Luke Cage movie and a James Bond movie in the past, Tarantino has so far eschewed franchise filmmaking, preferring instead to work on his own projects (although he has helmed episodes of CSI and ER on the small screen). He’s also said

Frozen short being pulled from Us cinemas

Simon Brew Dec 4, 2017

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure is not going down well in the Us...

In the UK, Disney’s Frozen found itself back in the box office top ten last week, courtesy of a special re-release that saw the inclusion of a new 21 minute short film, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure beforehand. The original plan was to play the short before Pixar’s Coco. But Coco doesn’t land in the UK until next month, and because the new Frozen short is Christmas-themed, Disney opted with a limited Frozen release in the UK instead.

But in the Us, the short is indeed playing with Coco. And, er, there’s been a bit of a backlash. Parents in the States have been registering unhappiness at having to sit through 20 minutes of trailers, and then the 21 minute short, until they get to Coco itself. Also, the short itself is hardly getting rave reviews.

George Clooney Is Making His Grand Return to TV by Adapting a Classic Novel

Eighteen years after ending his run as Dr. Doug Ross on E.R., George Clooney is returning to the small screen. The Suburbicon director will direct and star in a limited series adaptation of Joseph Heller's 1961 novel Catch-22, per Variety. With other big movie stars like Nicole Kidman and Anthony Hopkins making award-winning and nominated jumps to "prestige" TV shows (Big Little Lies, Westworld), Clooney's decision to do so himself seems like a smart choice. Catch-22 follows Us Air Force Captain John Yossarian as he gets caught up in a bureaucratic paradox in Italy in the midst of WWII. If a soldier declares insanity to be released from duty so as to avoid participating in dangerous missions - only an insane person would continue to fly into certain danger - doesn't his declaration inherently demonstrate sanity? Our minds are already short-circuiting. Clooney will appear as Yossarian's commander, Colonel Cathcart, and
