Did You Know?

Before her death in a car accident in season two, Tom's first wife Nell Croydon was mentioned in almost every episode but was never seen. In the episode of her death, her voice is heard and we see her left eye briefly in a photograph Tom touches before her funeral. Behind the scenes, John Wood who plays Tom thought the idea of Nell being talked of but never seen was hilarious, and called her "non-existant Nell". The episode of her death was rated one of the saddest moments in Australian television. See more »

Constable Evan 'Jonesy' Jones: Hey, you're talking about a friend of mine!
Sr. Sgt. Tom Croydon: Then I suggest in future you pick your friends more carefully.
Constable Evan 'Jonesy' Jones: Who my friends are is none of your business!
Sr. Sgt. Tom Croydon: While you're working for me, they most certainly are, and don't you forget it!

Revamp It!!!
30 December 2005 | by See all my reviews

Could someone please revamp this series. It tried to in early 2005 by killing of Jane Allsop's character of Snr. Const Jo Parish which was a mistake, and than it got rid of Sgt. Ben Stewart played by Paul Bishop which was another mistake and then they turned good country cop Snr Sgt. Tom Croydon into a depressed mongrel and guess what - Another Mistake!!!Though after all that they did bring in some good characters like PC Kelly O'Rourke(Samantha Tolj), DSC Amy Fox(Rachel Gordon) and Snr. Const Alex Kirby (Charlie Clausen) which is good but they still need to get rid of Const. Evan "Jonesy" Jones played by Ditch who is a bad actor and the character is boring, Snr. Const Susie Raynor because she is boring, PC Joss Peroni who is annoying, uptight and thinks he cool when he's not and Chris Rilley played by Julie Nihill because she is fat, boring and pointless to the entire show. I also think the show needs to bring in some story lines instead of a different case each week, maybe bring in a Jack The Ripper style storyline to the show and maybe build a shopping centre in Mt.Thomas so the cops have regular place to find bad guys or wrong doings instead of having a domestic to start the show off every episode
