As part of its plan to expand in the U.S., Endemol has tapped Philippe Maigret as evp of acquisitions in North America. In his new role, Maigret will be responsible for expanding the format specialist's portfolio on this side of the Atlantic, with a focus on scripted shows. This will include developing distribution, financing and co-production partnerships with U.S. producers in collaboration with Endemol USA, Endemol Worldwide Distribution and Endemol's global format operation.

Maigret was formerly senior vp of business strategy and development at Disney ABC Espn International where he was responsible for expanding the business globally and also led the Mouse House's move into the international production of reality and scripted TV formats. He also had stints at Centropolis, DreamWorks and StudioCanal.

As a producer, Maigret's movie credits include serving as exec producer on "The Young Americans" and co-executive producer on "Boiling Point" as well as »
