Adventure Kid is full of many of the typical Japanese porn clichés. The entire series has zombie sex, tentacle sex, S&M, and of course rape. The majority of the sex scenes are rape, which is what most sex seems to be like in Japanese porn. There is somewhat of a story to it, but the story kind of sucks and is hard to follow. Norikazu and Midori, and a couple of their friends, somehow end up back in time during World War 2. There's a bunch of Japanese soldiers which seem to be zombies or something, and they keep raping women. Later on, the only really interesting part of the whole series, Norikazu and Midori end up in Hell. In Hell, we get to see some demons, and some elf looking women. The animation is decent, very similar to the type of animation in Dragonball Z, not that there's much variation in Japanese animation anyway of course. The English dubbing is good enough, it's typical at least. Japanese law forbids full nudity in movies and comics, so all the genital scenes have been blurred out. There's actually one scene where nearly half the screen has been blurred out. Most of the censorship just involves simple avoidance of genitals though, not too much blurring. Wacky Japanese laws will allow sex on film, but not nudity, explain the logic to me please. A different reviewer on IMDb said this film is similar to Heavy Metal, I disagree. This is nothing like Heavy Metal.

Overall, I guess it's okay as far as Japanese animated porn goes, but I fast-forwarded through the sex scenes, and I was glad when it was over, so I can't really recommend it. If you can't rent it, and you want to buy it, you may want to consider looking for an uncensored version.
