Goofs

Buster (the little bird Rex tells his story to) can not only talk, he can actually hold entire conversations and absorb information, yet he is surprised to see a talking dinosaur play golf. It is explained in the beginning of the film how the dinosaurs in the film became intelligent (by consuming Captain Neweyes' Brain Grain cereal), but there is no explanation as to how Buster and his family can somehow talk, let alone possess humanistic personalities (just as the dinosaurs now do), without ever having been exposed to this magic cereal. Unless Captain Neweyes somehow found the time to add Brain Grain to the bird feeders in Central Park, this is highly improbable. See more »

Quotes

Professor Screweyes: [describing his Fright Radio] It picks up what people are scared to death of. You see, I find out what they're frightened of on this radio and that's what I try to give them with my circus. It's a public service, but this is the station that comes in the loudest of all.

A very weird and poor animated film
11 May 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

If you thought, "The Land Before Time", was the only animated film with Dinosaurs, guess again. Because on Thanksgiving Day 1993, there was an animated film called, "We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story". The film was a box-office bomb and got a lot of negative reviews (Yes, Rober Ebert did a review of the film and he didn't like it).

The animation in this film was very sloppy, the story and the plot were lame, I didn't care for any of the character's, and the movie was more of an acid trip.

But I did like John Goodman and Walter Cronkite's voice acting and the song, "Roll Back the Rock (To The Dawn Of Time)".

"We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story", is a lame animated film that is not worth watching at all. If you're looking for a good animated film with Dinosaur's in it, watch, "The Land Before Time".
