- Seeing ample-breasted Jessica as a forest ranger leaning over to impart breathy advice on fire safety is enough to make Roger self-immolate.
- Blurred out in later versions, a poster advertising "Rigid Tools" could have been seen in the background of a particular scene. It depicted an ample-breasted woman resembling Jessica straddling a lumberjack saw (saw teeth facing up) and it could only be seen if the film speed was slowed.

- The violence in the Maroon Cartoons is supposed to parody those seen in Tex Avery , "Bugs Bunny", "Tom and Jerry" cartoons, and in many ways they exaggerate the intensity of the violent gags in those cartoons. Seen outside of this context, the violence can be disturbing to young or sensitive viewers. Roger is often hurt or injured as he saves Baby Herman from perilous situations.
- Baby Herman's mother threats Roger with a hunting knife.
- We see a close-up of Roger's face covered with bee-sting welts.
- A saw blade loudly grinds Roger down to a score of little Rogers.

- Roger says to Baby Herman as they roast hot dogs, ''Scoot back, Baby Herman. You don't wanna burn your wienie.''
- When Roger rescues Baby Herman from the blades in a lumber mill, he makes a bowel-control crack: ''You had me worried. I almost dropped a log back there.''
