It seems the move to disarm the world's nukes was actually orchestrated by aliens, and when the Earth is finally defenseless their massive fleet moves in and nukes the whole planet. A very novel concept made even more believable by a John Kerry type president working to bring down our own forces. Unnecessarily complicated by Mark Hamill's mission to go back in time to prevent the invasion, which explains the name. Subplot of military personnel trying to hack the launch codes to an undeclared cache of Russian nukes to repel the invaders was much more intriguing. The well-rounded sci-fi fan will be sure to ignore the less evolved reviews and watch this one.
