Trivia

While shooting scenes in the butcher shop, Nancy Travis was distracted by Mike Myers' antics and accidentally cut off the tip of her middle finger on her left hand when chopping vegetables with a kitchen knife. Travis kept shouting "Cut! Cut! Cut!" which she meant literally, although the crew initially thought she was referring to the term for stopping the shooting of a scene. A local doctor sewed it back on. See more »

Goofs

Alcatraz Island Ranger Vicky states that many of the Park Rangers are former guards of Alcatraz, including himself. The prison closed on 21 March 1963, 30 years prior to this movie. This would have made Vicky a teenager at best when the prison closed, and too young to be employed as a guard. However, Ranger Vicky is most likely just telling a tall tale. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Charlie Mackenzie: Excuse me, miss? There seems to be a mistake. I believe I ordered the *large* cappuccino. *Hello!* Look at the size of this thing.
Tony Giardino: It's practically a bowl.
Charlie Mackenzie: It's like Campbell's Cup-O'-ccino!
Charlie Mackenzie: [laughing at his Campbell's joke and wiping his tears] Oh, My sides. Please. Aidez-moi.

Did you marry Mrs X?
6 July 2000 | by See all my reviews

Mike Myers gives Waynes World a rest and delivers what I think is a better movie.... well better than Waynes World 2 anyway. It is a truly great movie with Mike playing a duel role, firstly as Charlie MacKenzie a young guy who is scared of commitment to women, then his dad Stuart MacKenzie a very funny Scotsman who could take the lead role in X Files with his ideas on Conspiracy. Nancy Travis stars as a butcher... Harriet, who ends up with Charlie..... A great movie that is very funny in the pre Austin Powers age, a 7 out of 10.
