The kind of movie that needed to be made

I saw this movie on cable a few years ago, and I have to admit, I raised my eyes at the thought of its plot line. However, years after my first viewing, I re-watched 'Shattered Trust' and I really enjoyed it. Melissa Gilbert's 'dont-take-my-baby!' kind of TV movies are really overdone, but even though this is politically correct and easily makes the viewer pity all of its incest victims, it does so in a way that isn't overdone, but is actually believable and true-to-life since this is based on a true story. What we have here is your classic heart-wrenching determination-tale that penetrates the anger usually felt when no one believes you. Incest and child molestation is not an overlookedtopic nowadays, perhaps in the early nineties when this was in production, but since this is partially set in the early eighties, it is more believable that a victim of child molestation can actually 'change the law'.

Thought-provoking and strangely unique look at delayed discovery and abolishment of time constraints whereas cases of child abuse are concerned. Not to be overlooked, give it a shot.
