Earlier in the film, Lisbeth can be seen buying a copy of a book on chess by Bobby Fischer ("My 60 Memorable Games", originally published in 1969) as a gift for her guardian. This is most likely an inside joke, as screenwriter Steven Zaillian also wrote and directed the film Searching for Bobby Fischer. It may also have been Zaillian's memorial to Fischer, who died in 2008.
