Enough is enough!, 13 November 2001
Author: dbdumonteil

The topic was particularly interesting, with this woman becoming HIV positive, because of her husband. This could have been some kind of French "Philadelphia". Alas!Enough is enough!SPOILERS AHEAD*****SPOILERS AHEAD******** Melodrama was not exactly the right treatment for such a story! What do we learn?First that the heroine's best (female) friend is a selfish monster. Then, that her husbands had mistresses. Then that he had to fly to Armenia ,and during yuletide,at that, leaving his wife and kid on their own. Then, that ,in another trip,he had sex with a woman in Asia. Enough? NO,that's only the beginning! We learn that he had a gay lover in Egypt. And then that he's in a Paris gay bar more often than in his paper (he's a journalist)Enough? No,no,no,no,the best is yet to come. When he returns from Armenia,to be confronted with an horrified wife, his paper suggests they should do a special edition about ... (well, you guess it) AIDS!And to top it all,his poor old grand-father is dying, they take him to the hospital (I love you grandpa, you know).

Too bad for Natalie Baye who tries hard to make her character believable. But what actress can get away with such a script?
