Science Ruined ‘Jurassic Park’ Only to Have This Fan Theory Save It…

6 September 2017 4:21 PM, PDT | bloody-disgusting.com | See recent Bloody-Disgusting.com news »

Talk about going full circle in just one week… New research suggests that the Tyrannosaurus rex couldn’t actually run, and could only achieve a max speed of just 12 mph. This, among many other reports (such as dinosaurs actually having feathers), changes the way we view Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park, especially the scene in which Dr. Ian Malcolm […] »

Crazy Fan Theory Proves There Are No Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park?

6 September 2017 3:08 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Next year will see the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which will be the fifth movie in what is easily, and arguably without any real competition, the biggest dinosaur franchise in the history of cinema. But what if Jurassic Park and the rest of the movies in the franchise aren't actually dinosaur movies at all? A fan theory currently making the rounds online posits exactly that and it is pretty dang convincing.

This particular Jurassic Park fan theory started, as far as anyone can trace it back, on Reddit, as many of these things do, but Cracked recently released a video detailing the theory and laying it out really cleanly. Many fan theories are just fun to think about, but at the end of the day, they don't really carry much weight. This one, on the other hand, is downright solid and pretty much reshapes the entire Jurassic Park franchise as we know it. »

Jurassic World 2 Volcano and Returning Dinosaurs Revealed

6 September 2017 10:48 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Hold onto your butts, because we have some of the first Jurassic World 2 merchandise for you to check out, which recently leaked online. Unfortunately, it isn't any of the new toys or anything like that. Instead, some of the food and snack items that are going to be released in conjunction with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom have made their way online and they further tease a massive volcanic threat in the movie, as well as revealing the return of some fan-favorite dinos.

The merchandise was revealed by fan site Jurassic Outpost and the image shows off some Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom marshmallows, chicken nuggets, cereal, ice cream and something called "Dino Munch." While you may want to pick up some Dino Munch next year, what is really noteworthy for Jurassic Park fans is the return of the famous T-Rex from the original film, known to many as Rexy. Rian Johnson reveals Snoke’s past will remain a mystery in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, says writing Kylo Ren is “fun”

6 September 2017 4:32 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

With just a few months to go until the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, there are still several questions surrounding the film, particularly over the Sequel Trilogy’s central villains. J.J. Abrams didn’t reveal much about Supreme Leader Snoke in The Force Awakens, and it seems director Rian Johnson isn’t looking to elaborate any further either.

In his interview with Empire, Johnson likened Snoke’s presence to that of Palpatine’s in the Original Trilogy, where audiences only knew of his position, power and danger in those films: “We got the whole story of Palpatine’s rise to power in the prequels, but in the original films he’s exactly what he needs to be, which is just ‘The Emperor. He’s a dark force: the scary thing behind the thing. That was entirely how I approached Snoke. I wasn’t interested in explaining where he »

From VHS to VOD #3

4 September 2017 10:01 AM, PDT | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

I don’t know if you’re anything like me, but I can often spend hours upon hours trawling through iTunes looking for new movies to buy… Usually I’ll randomly come across a title I haven’t seen in years and use the “Cast & Crew” links to make my way down the rabbit hole to the more obscure side of Apple’s digital movie service.

Now whilst many will decry that iTunes is a terrible VOD service due to Apple’s desire to lock its audience to their platforms, if you have an Apple TV or iPad be aware – there are some truly obscure films hidden away in the depths of the vast collection of movies. Some of which have been made available in the UK for the first time since VHS and a Lot that have been added to the service in their original uncut form!

Deauville: Jeff Goldblum Attached to Rick Alverson's 'The Mountain'

The night was set as a tribute, and in perfect form, Jeff Goldblum delighted the audience at the Deauville Film Festival in France with a meandering 15-minute recount of his career from a high school Marcel Marceau obsessive through leading the audience in songs from Jurassic Park.

The Oscar and Emmy nominee, who took to the stage in a white tux jacket and silver lamé shirt, ditched the podium and usual scripted thank-yous in favor of a 15-minute stand-up speech that could have doubled as an audition for a one-man comedy show, complete with song, dance, mime and a quick »

Mark Hamill on Luke Skywalker’s story between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens

2 September 2017 12:30 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Aside from a brief outline of events – he forms a new Jedi Order, is betrayed by Kylo Ren, and heads off to Ahch-To for a self-imposed exile, we know very little of what Luke Skywalker has been up to in the galaxy far, far away between the end of Return of the Jedi and the new Sequel Trilogy.

Luke made only a fleeting appearance at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and his story is yet to be explored in any of the comics or novels, meaning that Mark Hamill was forced to make up his own backstory for the character as he prepared to reprise the role for this December’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

“Luke changed, I think, more than the other characters in the original trilogy, from callow farm boy to a Jedi in training to finally a Jedi master,” Hamill tells the Vancouver Sun. »

Star Wars: The Last Jedi toy packaging hints at another Death Star

If the toy packaging for Kylo Ren’s Tie Silencer is any indication, it looks like the heroes of the galaxy far, far away may find themselves going up against another Death Star this December with the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Check out the packaging here…

Now, this doesn’t necessarily confirm the inclusion of a third Death Star in The Last Jedi, but it would seem to be a strange choice for the artwork if this doesn’t turn out to be the case.

The First Order was obviously influenced by the Empire’s superweapon with Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Starkiller Base, and given that the First Order’s uniforms, ships and vehicles are »
