Couple Poses as Iconic Movie Duos in Fun Engagement Photo Shoot: 'We're Huge Nerds!'

New York-based actors Jackie Nguyen and Nate Huntley have spent years channeling different characters. So, when it came time for their engagement photo shoot, the pair knew they had to go all out.

“When we were planning out our engagement photos, Jackie was like, ‘I don’t wanna do the normal engagement shoot where we’re standing hand-in-hand, like the Nicholas Sparks, almost-kissing look,’ ” Huntley, 26, tells People.

“Instead, she had this idea that we would take those kinds of photos, but dressed up as … like Thor and Harry Potter. But then it kind of evolved into, like, ‘who else should we be?

‘Black Panther’ Kills: Here’s the 3 Biggest Box-Office Records Ryan Coogler Broke This Weekend

‘Black Panther’ Kills: Here’s the 3 Biggest Box-Office Records Ryan Coogler Broke This Weekend
So many records, so little time. Final “Black Panther” grosses are in: With Presidents’ Day adding $40.2 million to its already-staggering $201.8 million for the three-day weekend, the latest Marvel movie made $242 million in its four-day domestic total and clobbered all expectations. So where does Ryan Coogler’s superhero movie stand in box-office history? As always, when making comparisons we adjust past grosses to current ticket prices. (If we used the European system of reporting admissions in addition to box office we wouldn’t have this problem, but we don’t and so we adjust.)

All that said: “Black Panther” breaks records held by “The Last Jedi,” “Deadpool,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” — but falls just behind “The Force Awakens.” Here’s how it breaks down.

Four-day Total: $242 Million

“Black Panther” is # 4, behind “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “The Avengers,” and “Jurassic World,” and it just beat out “Star Wars: The Last Jedi

New Ready Player One Promo Spot Shows More T-Rex Footage and Two New Photos

As I've gone through my social media feeds, I've been surprised by how many people who claim to be "movie geeks" aren't excited to see Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One. I don't quite get it. Either they haven't read the book that the film is based on, or they had a childhood void of geek culture awesomeness.

If you're an avid reader of the site, then you already know how excited I am for this movie and how much this story resonates with me. Anyway, we've got a new promo spot for the film to check out below that offers a bit of new footage involving the T-Rex from Jurassic Park.

I've also included a couple new photos from Empire. One photo shows Steven Spielberg directing a scene with Ben Mendelsohn, who plays the villain, Nolan Sorrento, in the film. As you can see, he's logged into the Oasis.

J.J. Abrams calls out sexist Star Wars: The Last Jedi critics

Disney and Lucasfilm have made great strides with regards to increasing the representation of the galaxy far, far away over the past few years, but it seems the increased emphasis on female characters and diversity hasn’t quite sat right with some ‘fans’. Take for example the alt-right group who claimed to have lowered the Rotten Tomatoes score of Star Wars: The Last Jedi back in February, blaming its issues on the fact it “introduces more female characters into the franchise’s universe.”

Well, during an interview with IndieWire, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Episode IX director J.J. Abrams has responded to these online trolls, accusing them of feeling threatened by women:

“Star Wars is a big galaxy, and you can sort of find almost anything you want to in Star Wars,” he said. “If you are someone who feels threatened by women and needs to lash out against them,

The Avengers Shatters All Expectations: Journey to Infinity War Part 6

Our journey to Infinity War continues by looking back at Marvel's The Avengers, which is perhaps the most important superhero movie in the history of the genre. And quite possibly the greatest, if you're like me and like to think of The Dark Knight as an action/thriller that happens to have a guy in a costume in it some of the time. In any case, so far, we've looked at all of Marvel's individual Phase 1 movies that got us to this point. Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger were leading us here. Everyone knew fairly quickly that they were taking us to an Avengers movie, but nothing like this had ever been done before. Nobody really knew if this could work. It not only works, it's still the gold standard for team-up movies and hasn't lost a step nearly

Cool Jurassic Park Behind-The-Scenes Documentary Narrated By James Earl Jones

Going behind the scenes with Jurassic Park is always something fun to watch since it gives so much insight to the movie and how it came to be, but having it narrated by James Earl Jones is a touch of genius. Thinking of how much work went into this film is absolutely insane since it wasn’t all CGI. Dinosaurs in the movies have been thrilling for a long time since they were introduced into the movies, but with each new advancement it’s been necessary to create a new and exciting reality that might stun and entertain the audience in a

Daisy Ridley says Star Wars: The Last Jedi shows that Rey is just a “cog in the machine”

Rey is just “a cog in the machine” according to Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress Daisy Ridley.

There were many theories in play going into Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with one of the most talked about being just who Rey’s parents were. The going assumption was that the character’s parents would turn out to be of significant importance, elevating Rey’s position in the grand scheme of things.

It turns out, however, at least according to Kylo Ren, that her parents are nobodies, that she is just Rey, with no special heritage. According to Daisy Ridley, this and the film itself prove that Rey is only a small part of a much larger tale:

“This is where it proves that I am not the centre,” Ridley told Hertfordshire Life (via ComicBook.com). “It’s not based around my character – it’s so much bigger than me,

New Ready Player One Trailer Opens Up a World of Pure Imagination

New Ready Player One Trailer Opens Up a World of Pure Imagination
The new trailer for Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One starts with the Crystal Key, which is the last of the three keys in Halliday's Anorak Invitation, going into the lock and turning. For those who have read Ernest Cline's book, you know that a whole bunch of action is about to take place. And the trailer does a good job of teasing all of the action in the movie while packing in more Easter Eggs than you can possibly imagine. There's a reference to Mario Kart and a brief glimpse of Rexy from Jurassic Park in a chase to name a few.

Ready Player One is a divisive book for people that have read it. You either love all of the references to the 80s and 90s or you come to loathe the overabundance of all of the nostalgia mixed with some questionable dialogue. However, there are plenty

In fact, it was the opportunity to play a role in creating the tragic Gollum that brought Letteri, 60, to Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings. He had worked as a CG artist on 1993's Jurassic Park, where, he...
