Chiu Man Cheuk's debut as Wong Fei Hung is very impressive. Can you believe he was only 19 years old when he made this film? (Jet Li was in his early 30s when he made the first three Wong Fei Hung movies.) Because of Cheuk's young age, it is hard for him to look more serious and mature than his disciples (played by actors well over 30 years old). The opening sequence is incredible, and the overall fighting is good. However, the story is a bit over the top. It is also too violent and bloody.
