Storyline

The island of Curaçao was discovered in 1499 by Alonso de Ojeda, one of Columbus's lieutenants. The inhabitants were Indians of huge physical proportions therefore aptly called "Isla de los Gigantes" or (Islands of the Giants). Within 20 years, the name Curaçao appeared on a Portuguese map. The island remained Spanish until the Dutch conquered it in 1643. Written by Anonymous

Get your kicks on Curacao
17 September 2000 | by (Bruges, Belgium) – See all my reviews

This is a very slow-paced drama about a bored embassy employee on Curacao. Then he finds out his friend, an old captain(George C. Scott), has some secrets. Soon both their lives are in danger. Not really that special, but quite an interesting story and well-acted too. 6/10
