Ash says to a man with a beard: "spinach chin". In Malice in the Palace, Moe says the same also to a man with a beard.

In ' The Sword in the Stone' Arthur falls through the ceiliing of Merlins hut who expected his arrival for being the chosen one. In 'Army of Darkness' Ash falls from the sky which makes Wiseman (a Merlin type of character) think he's the prophecised. Only he can rescue the Necronomicon.
The British ending (seen as Alternate Ending on the DVD) is a spoof of Planet's ending. Also, Ash's line "Get your damn dirty bones outa my mouth" is a reference to the line "Get your damn dirty paws off me" from this film. Other pieces of dialogue are also inspired from the film.
A guard says "Shut your bleeing hole!" to a prisoner. Another character says "I'm blind! I'm blind!" in the same fashion context as Alex said it.
the little Ashes yell "ramming speed" before stabbing Ash with the fork.
In both movies at the end the villain arouses a legion of dead skeletons in order to fight the hero.
Ash is stuck in the past with a car that no longer works. Steam power is used to fix this car. The car (and Ash) is sealed in a cavern so that it may be preserved for the future. These are all things which mirror major plot points in BTTF III
When Sheila is unveiled as Bad Ash's dark princess in Army of Darkness, she says the line "I may be bad... but I feel good", a direct reference to Catwoman's transformation line.
